The North Carolina Freedom Monument Park is more than just a landmark (though it is certainly that). It's an ongoing history, a contemporary movement to commemorate the past and present acts of freedom that make our state what it is. We'd like to hear your stories about freedom in North Carolina. Tell us about your history in the state, your family traditions tied to the state, your favorite little corner of the land of the Tar Heel. 

We'll collect the best of stories into a book to be published on this web site in anticipation of the start of the park's construction.
